Lawrence’s Muni 3 Movie Launch Today
Raghava Lawrence’s new movie ‘Muni 3’ will be launched tomorrow morning
at Annapurna Studios. Bellamkonda Suresh is producing ‘Muni 3’ on Sai
Ganesh Productions banner.Taapsee Pannu is playing female lead opposite Lawrence for the first time in this action thriller. This is for the second time Bellamkonda Suresh is teaming up with Lawrence after super hit ‘Kanchana’. Bellamkonda is confident on the script of ‘Muni 3’ and predicts that this movie would be equally good like ‘Kanchana’.
The regular shooting of Muni 3 will begin from January.
YVM affects Khiladi 786, Talaash collections
Director Gautham Menon’s latest venture Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu has got very good opening in America. The Telugu film has done even better collection than its Tamil version Neethaane En Ponvasantham. That’s not all. It has even slowed down the collection of Hindi movies Talaash and Khiladi 786, which had done fantastic business at the USA Box Office in the last week.
Talaash was released in a large number screens in the country on November 29 and has done very good business there. The Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee starrer was still running in 113 screens in its third weekend. The movie has collected $1,68,828, taking its 18-day total to $27,06,375 (Rs 14.80 crores) at the USA Box Office. Khiladi 786, which was released in large number of screens in the country on December 7, has seen a big drop in its collection in its second weekend.
The film, which is being shown in 115 screens, in the third week, has collected $61,563 at the USA Box Office, talking its 11-day total to $3,52,684 (Rs 1.93 crores). Whereas Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu starring Nani and Samantha in leads, was released in just 43 screens in the country on December 14 and has done record breaking business at the USA Box Office in its first weekend. The film has collected $1,80,510 (Rs 98.74 lakhs) in three days. With this, the Telugu movie has topped the collection chart at the USA Box Office.
However, its Tamil version Neethaane En Ponvasantham has also done good business at the USA Box Office in its first weekend, but when compared to Nani-Samantha starrer, its collection is very less. The movie, which was released in 35 screens in the country on December 14, has collected $92,102 (Rs 50.38 lakhs) at the USA Box Office in three days.
NTR Baadshah’s Innocent Look
It is already clear that NTR is sporting different looks for his
upcoming entertainer Baadshah. Revealing all the looks of the
protagonist might be a strategic move by the makers as the audience will
get used to them by the time film hits the screens. Here is the
innocent look of Young Tiger in this much-awaited film.
As per the script demand, NTR will appear in this avatar for a brief portion in the film. The actor has cut down all the extra flab, got in shape for the film and looks fab in the casual wear. Grapevine is that the star would be seen in this look for the flashback episode.
Dabangg 2 Hyderabad Theaters
The Hyderabad theaters list of Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan’s
‘Dabangg 2′ is here. The movie is releasing on December 21 with lot of
hype and hoopla. ‘Dabangg 2′ is the sequel to Salman Khan’s blockbuster
hit ‘Dabangg’. Arbaaz Khan is the director.Sampath Nandi not directing Pawan Kalyan
It was earlier told to the media that Power star Pawan Kalyan and
Director Sampath Nandi are signed for a new film, which will be produced
by NTV CEO Sharat Maror. Initially when director Sampath approached
Pawan Kalyan for a new film, Power star agreed to work with him and
asked him to come up with a full script.
Now the latest news is that recently the director met the actor and narrated the story. As per the sources the movie has been shelved because the Pawan Kalayan doesn’t like the story and the script. So, as of now Sampath Nandi will not be directing Pawan Kalyan.
At present Pawan is doing a movie with TrivikramThe untitled film will be a family entertainer. Samantha is doing the female role. Music director Devi Sri Prasad is going to compose the tunes for this movie. BVSN Prasad will produce the film under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra Pvt LTD.
‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ character is Closer to me: Deepika Padukone
Actress Deepika Padukone, whose performance as Veronica was highly
appreciated in ‘Cocktail’, says her character in her upcoming film ‘Yeh
Jawaani Hai Deewani’ is more close to her real self. “Actually ‘Yeh
Jawani…’ is very similar to me in person like Veronica was not. I think
Veronica, as a character, as a person is very different from how I am
personally but ‘Yeh Jawani…’ is very similar to how I am,” the
27-year-old said here Sunday at the Big Star Entertainment Awards.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, ‘Yeh Jawaan Hai Deewani’ also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Kalki Koechlin.
Asked about her supposed tussle with actress Anushka Sharma, Deepika said, “There is no truth to this and I always wish her well.”
Apparently, the two actresses are vying for the lead role opposite Salman Khan in ‘Kick’, which has led to a tussle between Anushka and Deepika. -IANS
Awards give you confidence: Arjun Kapoor
Actor Arjun Kapoor, who made his Bollywood debut this year with
“Ishaqzaade”, believes awards are important for everyone as they
increase confidence.
“When your work is appreciated, it is good. People are liking your work and that’s why you get awards. There is a jury award which means your peers and others in the industry are liking your work,” the 27-year-old said here Sunday at the Big Star Entertainment Awards.
“So, it’s good, it gives you confidence to wake up in the morning and work even harder. You have to work hard so that your work is appreciated more, so confidence wise awards are good,” he added.
Asked what does he prefer more, awards or audience’s love, Arjun said, “Audience’s love, if they keep loving us, then awards will come. They are the final judge. We make films to entertain them. Nothing matters more than them.”
Arjun currently has “Aurangzeb”, “2 States” and “Gunday” in his kitty. -IANS
Sarocharu Censor Formalities Today
Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s latest movie Sarocharu will complete the mandatory censor formality today.
The Regional Censor Board officer Dhana Lakshmi and her team will watch the special screening of the movie and decide the certification.
Ravi Teja is desperately hoping for a hit as his career is on ventilator after back to back flops.
The makers are planning to release the movie on December 21st. The last minute post production works are going on.
Parasuram is directing the film and this is his second film with Ravi Teja after Anjaneyulu. Priyanka Dutt is producing the film under Three Angels Studio Pvt Ltd banner.
Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music. Vijay K Chakravarthi is the cinematographer.
Ram Charan Comments on Media Shocked Everyone
Ram Charan is usually a very soft spoken person who responds to the
media with a smile. But at times he has shown that he could give strong
replies to his critics. His outburst against Dasari Narayana Rao on
Twitter created a sensation at that time. He has once again shown that
at Nayak audio launch. Media has written so much about mega family and
the relation between Pawan Kalyan and Chiranjeevi as the former didn’t
attend Racha audio launch.
With Pawan Kalyan attending the audio launch of Nayak, Charan got an opportunity to give a strong reply. He said he will not care about whatever media writes. “Babai (Pawan) told me not to respond to all that media writes. I don’t care whatever you write (Meeremi rasukunna Naaku Ventrukatho samanam),” Charan said in a furious tone.
