The controversy regarding the title Dirty Picture starring Pakistani
Actress Veena Malik and Akshay has finally been solved. The makers of
the film have changed the title to ‘Silk – Sakkath Hot’.
Earlier, producer Ekta Kapoor who is the producer of Dirty Picture starring Vidya Balan and Naseeruddin Shah had objected for the use of the title in Kannada claiming that she has the title rights. She had also sent a notice to the makers of Kannada Dirty Picture to change the title of the film soon. Neither producer Venkatappa nor director Trishul were ready to change the title and challenged Ekta Kapoor.
Ekta in turn registered a case at the Mumbai High Court and the court has given verdict that the title should be changed. With no other go, the makers of Dirty Picture have decided to change the title to Silk – Sakkath Hot. Earlier, Silk – Sakkath Hot was used as the sub-title.
