film festival International Film Festival in TenaliThe International Film Festival would be held for four days at Tenali town in Guntur district from December 19, says popular comedian, director AVS. Addressing a press meet at the Producers’ Council hall on Friday morning, he says, the festival would be held under the auspices of Tenali Cultural Film Society.
A total of 17 countries are taking part in the meet and over 20 films would be screened in the festival. ‘Jhanak Jhanak Payal Paje’ is being screened as a tribute to the late director Shantaram. ‘Ganga Putrulu’ is the film that was selected from Telugu.
On December 19, the NTR Memorial Award would be presented to Dr D Ramanaidu. In the Award presentation meeting, Supreme Court judge Jasti Chalameswar, Assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar, noted director N Shankar and others would participate as guests. On December 20, the SV Ranga Rao memorial award to Jayaprakash Reddy and on December 21 Savitri memorial award would be presented to Sakuntala.
Likewise, on 22nd Bollimunta Sivaramakrishna Award would be presented by JK Bharavi, Veturi Sundarama Murthy award would be presented to Anant Sriram, Allu Ramalingaiah award to Gundu Hanumanta Rao would be awarded. The South India Federation of Film Festivals secretary Prakash Reddy, Tenali Cultural Film Society general secretary Bollimunta Krishna, co general secretary B Murali and others participated in the press meet.
