‘3G’ song: Neil Nitin Mukesh and Sonal Chauhan get touchy-feely in ‘Khalbali’

‘3G’ song: Neil Nitin Mukesh and Sonal Chauhan get touchy-feely in ‘Khalbali’ After a sensual track like Kaise Bataaoon which was loaded with passionate scenes, here is a much toned down song Khalbali from the film 3G-2013. Neil Nitin Mukesh and Sonal Chauhan once again get to romance in this song.

Khalbali being an effervescent love song lacks the hot scenes, but is not without its share of kisses. Both Sonal and Neil have indulged in some carefree PDA -- hugging and smooching -- in the serene locales of Fiji in the video. For a change, Sonal Chauhan has slipped into shorts, and not a bikini. Her envy-inducing spaghetti tops are chic. Neil Nitin Mukesh also looks and acts like a loving beau, singing Khalbali to his girl.

The song’s title may ring a bell with you but is very different from Aamir Khan’s Khalbali, the popular track of Rang De Basanti. Though melodious and peppy, this Khalbali is not as good as Rahman’s song in RDB.

Khalbali has been composed by Mithoon and is sung by Shilpa Rao, Arijit Singh and Tochi Raina, while the lyrics of the song are by Shelee. The high point of the song is the chemistry between Sonal and Neil, and of course, the breathtaking beauty of Fiji beaches. But besides that there is nothing worth mentioning. Since the movie is a thriller, the song seems a situational track.

Although it’s an average track, the song has received positive response from the music buffs on Youtube, and there are also a few who have noticed Sonal Chauhan’s lithe legs in the video. A viewer writes, “Someone please buy her some trousers.”

Directed by Shantanu Ray Chibber and Sheershak Anand, the movie 3G is about a couple who becomes a victim of a series of unfortunate and scary events after they buy a 3G-enabled phone while holidaying in Fiji. Neil Nitin Mukesh plays a grey character in the film.

Here’s the new song Khalbali from 3G:
