Imran finds it awkward to kiss on screen

Actor Imran Khan has locked lips with Anushka Sharma in “Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola”, but he admits that he finds it awkward to kiss someone he isn’t romantically involved with.
“It’s awkward when you are kissing someone who you are not romantically involved with because it is a very intimate act. Normally you do it with somebody who you are very close to, but here you are kissing someone who you don’t know that well,” Imran said.
Nevertheless, Imran feels Anushka is very talented and she has done a very good job in this Vishal Bhardwaj-directorial.
“We have done a photo shoot together. I watched her films and I felt she is a very good actress. But until you work with a person, you don’t really get to appreciate that person. When I actually started working with her, I got to know more about her talent. She has done very good work in this film,” said Imran.
“Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola” also features Arya Babbar, Pankaj Kapoor and Shabana Azmi in important roles. The film is slated to release Jan 11 next year.

Tamil Movie Kumki as Gajaraju in Telugu

Tamil film Kumki is being dubbed as Gajaraju in the Telugu version. Producer Bellamkonda Suresh has bagged the dubbing rights and has planned to release the audio on December 8 and the film will hit the screens on December 14.
Ganjaraju casts Sivaji Ganeshan’s grandson Vikram Prabhu in the lead role in the direction of Prabhu Solomon. Lakshmi Menon has played the lady love for Vikram Prabhu in Gajaraju that has music and BGM composed by D. Imman.
The entire movie was shot in forests and the story revolves around an elephant in the film.

BMC says no to Bal Thackeray memorial at Shivaji Park

The Brihan Mumbai Corporation has sent a notice to the Shiv Sena to dismantle the temporary structure built at the Shivaji Park where party founder Bal Thackeray’s cremation took place. BMC has denied permission for a Bal Thackeray memorial at the Shivaji Park.
BMC says that the permission to use the ground was given only for the cremation and that it should be restored to its original status as it is a reserved plot as per the city development plan. Meanwhile, Mayor Sunil Prabhu has told CNN-IBN that he hasn’t received any notice so far.
Earlier, Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray had said that the controversy over the Bal Thackeray memorial was unnecessary. Uddhav in an interview to Sena’s paper ‘Saamna’ said that the Sena will continue fighting for ‘Marathi Manoos’ and ‘Hindutvavaad’.
Shiv Sena party workers have been demanding for a memorial at Shivaji Park but the Maharashtra government is yet to respond to it. Opposing the demand, state Congress on Saturday said no “other” memorial should come up at the sprawling ground in central Mumbai. “Shivaji Maharaj is a god for people of Maharashtra. His memorial is already there at Shivaji Park,” MPCC chief Manikrao Thakre said.

Krishna Vamsi Nani’s Paisa Progressing In Dubai

Nani’s forthcoming film tentatively titled Paisa in the direction of Krishna Vamsi has wrapped up a few schedules here in Hyderabad. The unit members have headed to Dubai now for a new schedule shoot.
Catherine Tresa is roped in as the female lead in the film and the movie is produced by Ramesh Puppala under Yellow Flowers banner. A couple of songs will be canned in the new schedule and the unit will be back in city in December second week.
Paisa is a commercial entertainer with few political elements while Charan Raj will be seen as villain. Nani is going places these days signing up top league directors films and let’s hope Paisa will also turn out success.

Sudeep in Apthamitra 3

Kiccha Sudeep, who is starring in the sequel of late Dr Vishnuvardhan’s Kottigobba sequel, might step into shoes of the Sahasa Simha again. The Eega star is being wanted by Dwarakish for the third instalment of Apthamitra.
Dwarakish has reportedly said that he wants to make Apthamitra 3 and wishes to cast Sudeep in the lead role of a psychiatrist, which was played by Dr Vishnuvardhan in Apthamitra and Aaptharakshaka. The producer has got a verbal consent from Kiccha and the script works are in the process.
The project might be delayed, as Sudeep is completely busy with multiple films. P Vasu, who directed the first two instalments, is likely to helm the third instalment. Other details are yet to be revealed.
However, it has to be noted that Dwarakish had produced Apthamitra, which also featured late Soundarya, but second instalment Aaptharakshaka, which became the last film of Vishu, was produced by Krishna Prajwal, as Dwarakish and Vishnuvardhan were not in good terms.

Talaash breaks 3 Idiots record at the Box Office

Bollywood Mr Perfectionist, Aamir Khan has set a unique record with his recent release ‘Talaash’. Yes, in spite of receiving mixed response from the movie lovers, ‘Talaash’ has  managed to collect 48 crores in its opening weekend.
Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots has collected 40 crores in its opening weekend and went on to collect 79 crores in its first week run.
With already 48 cores collection, ‘Talaash’ will cross the record set by 3 Idiots comfortably, however till date 3 Idiots has collected 385 crore (US$96.77 million)  and is the highest grosser in the history of Indian cinema. This record cannot be bettered by ‘Talaash’ by the kind of response the movie is receiving.

Amitabh Bachchan all set to attend the CIFF

It’s that time of the year again when the stage is set for the Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF), where 160 films from 57 countries across the world will be screened. And the reason to rejoice more is because Amitabh Bachchan would also take part in the ceremony.
The festival, organised every year by Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation, will begin on December 13, and will go on till December 30.
However, talking to journalists in Chennai on Sunday, Thangaraj, a key member of the event’s organising team, said that the government has sanctioned Rs 50 lakh for this year’s festival.

Sonakshi Sinha to Pair opposite Mahesh Babu under Krish Direction

Sonakshi Sinha is being considered as the leading lady in Super Star Mahesh Babu’s upcoming movie under the direction of Krish. Mahesh was impressed with the script narrated by Krish and the actor gave his nod immediately for the project.

Nag heads to Bangkok for Love Story

Nagarjuna, who is busy with the promotional activities of Dhamarukam movie, is all set to fly to Bangkok for a new schedule of shooting for his next release film tentatively titled Love Story.
Love Story movie is being directed by Dasarath and produced by D Sivaprasad Reddy under Kamakshi Kala Movies banner. Thaman is providing the music for the film. Nayanatara and Meera Chopra are zeroed in for the female leads in the movie.
Nagarjuna is donning the most stylish look in the family entertainer shot in the locales of Europe while the new schedule will be canned in Bangkok. Love Story is expected to hit the big-screens in early 2013.

Vishal in and as Sukra

Despite the failure patch for a long time, Tamil actor Vishal is still particular about releasing his movies in Telugu too. His latest movie Samar is being dubbed in to Telugu as ‘Sukra’. The movie had completed its shooting formalities and is in post production mode. The makers are planning to release it in January.
The dubbing works of the movie will begin very soon and the audio event in Telugu will also happen some time this month. Trisha is the female lead in the movie. Thiru who earlier directed Khiladi with Vishal is directing the movie. The film, produced by Vikram Krishna, stars Trisha as the female lead.

Kamal Hassan drops TV Release idea

Less than 24 hours after Kamal Hassan’s radical idea of Viswaroopam TV release, revealed, the actor had to subdue the pressure of Tamilnadu distributors and exhibitors and drop his idea. Kamal had negotiated for a first day release (one-time) for almost Rs. 50 Crores with DTH operators but the people associated with Tamil movie  trade expressed deep concerns that if Kamal’s  idea becomes a success, many future movies will follow this new revenue model which will result in slowly wiping out the theatrical collections. So, they have threatened to stall the movie release in Tamilnadu if the actor does not repeal his plans.
So, sources close to Kamal Hassan had revealed that the actor had dropped this idea for Tamil version and is still considering it for the Hindi version of the movie, Viswaroop.

Shahrukh Khan Talks About Priyanka Chopra

Bollywood Super Star Shahrukh Khan has finally opened up and talked about his relation with his co-star and friend Priyanka Chopra. Speaking to CNN-IBN, Sharukh said “To me what is most disturbing is that a lady who has worked with me has been questioned and somewhere down the line has not been shown the respect that I show her, or to all women. I think it is disrespectful and I am extremely sorry about that, sorry means not because of the things that I have done but because she is a friend ”.

Rajinikanth Birthday Special for Fans

Superstar Rajinikanth who has been idolized like god by thousands of his fans is celebrating his 62 birthday on 12/12/12. Now, the news is that Rajinikanth’s 2007 sensational hit movie ‘Sivaji’ is releasing as ‘Sivaji 3D’ in 3D format on the ocassion of Rajinikanth’s 62 birthday. Reportedly, ‘Sivaji 3D’ version has been trimmed by 30 minutes and has the run time of only 137 minutes. Few scenes like Rajinikanth wooing Shreya,  fight with Kanal Kannan in music store,  scenes between Rajinikanth and Solomon Papiya and car fight sequences in the second half are deleted to make the movie even more gripping says sources. SVSC Movie shooting in Inorbit Mall

Victory Venkatesh and Super Star Mahesh Babu starrer ‘Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ shooting is currently under progress in Inorbit Mall, Cyberabad. Mahesh Babu has participated in shoot along with other artists this morning. Producer Dil Raju has already announced that the audio of ‘SVSC’ movie will be released on December 15, 2012 and the movie is expected to hit the screens on January 11, 2013.
