After the riveting success of the satirical ‘Oh My God!’, Umesh
Shukla will direct his next with Abhishek Bachchan in lead. The project
that is expected to go on floors later this year, will be bannered by
T-Series under Bhushan Kumar and Varun Bajaj.
Making their first collaboration even more special, producer Bhushan Kumar gifted the script to the star on the occasion of his birthday.
Stated Bhushan Kumar, “We are happy to announce Abhishek Bachchan as the lead of our ambitious next directed by Umesh Shukla and what better day than his birthday to make the announcement. They’ve both had a good year, Abhishek with Bol Bachchan and Umesh with OMG!. My co-producers and I agreed that Abhishek fits the role. We didn’t even think of anyone else.”
While Abhishek has been confirmed as lead in the film that delves into the equation between a man and his son, details of the rest of the starcast are being kept under tight wraps.
Added producer Varun Bajaj, “After “Oh! My God’ we wanted to do a social comedy with Umeshji. This film is based on a father and son relationship. The film is funny as well as emotional. It gives out a message in the end.”
