SVSC Audio Release Highlights

The audio launch of SVSC was a star studded affair at Nanakramguda Ramanaidu Cine Village on the evening of December 16th. With all the cast and crew of the film flowing in, and lakhs of fans gracing the event, producer Dil Raju got on a high note of happiness.
Most noticeable part of the event is that producer Dil Raju made sure that the feel of Teluguness will not give a miss at any time. Like the most celebrated Sankranthi festival, SVSC audio launch is full of kolatams, traditional dances and native kickups along with the regular dance-performances for songs and the kickass anchoring of loud-mouth ladies Suma and Jhansi. Along with them, biggies including Mahesh, Venkatesh, Samantha, Anjali, Dil Raju, Prakash Raj, Sreenu Vytla, Boyapati Seenu, Vamsi Padipalli, SVSC director Srikantha Addala and music director Mickey J Meyer and others graced the event.
Special attractions of the evening are young chief guests, Mahesh’s son Gautham and Venky’s son Arjun, while Mahesh’s wife Namrata Shirodkar too sparkled on the stage.
Speaking at the event,
Sensuous beauty Samantha expressed happiness for being part of this prestigious project and thanked her director, producer and co-stars for this amazing flick. As usual, this enchantress wooed spectators with her Telugu words.
Other heroine, Telugu girlAnjali too felt happy for being part of this multi-starrer movie. She revealed that her character’s name is ‘Seetha’ in this flick, before the anchors Suma and Jhansi are dumbstruck with her Telugu speech.
Producer Dil Raju stressed that making multi-starrers is difficult as handling two big heroes is a big challenge, and handling their fanbases is another challenge.  However, he thanked Mahesh and Venky for giving his production company a lifetime opportunity of making a multi-starrer flick. He dedicated this movie to all big families of Tollywood.
Ace director Sreenu Vytla, Vamsi Paidipally and Boyapati Seenu congratulated director Srikanth Addala for coming up with a novel point for this new generation.
Mahesh Babu is the show stealer of the evening with his simple talk. Addressing venkatesh, he told that he has learnt a lot from Venky about punctuality, discipline and humbleness. He congratulated the day’s hero Mickey J Meyer for the wonderful tunes and wished everyone a great success. Meanwhile he joked at the audiences asking them to keep quiet by saying ‘Chinna pillalu bayapadataru…’. His son Gautham and Venky’s son Arjun went blushing after that.
Victory Venkatesh stated that he is pretty excited to this project with his ‘brother’. (read Mahesh). ‘Mahesh became my brother from day one and we delivered a decent product which you should watch with an open mind’, said Venky. He reiterated that director Srikanth Addala and producer Dil Raju have done a fantastic job.
Finally, the future superstars and chief guests for today’s event, Venkatesh’s Son Arjun and Mahesh’s Son Gautham unveiled the audio. The movie has garnered enough hype right from the beginning of project and now, the audio launch event too became memorable for fans.

You can’t sign a film just based on script: Tena Desae

Actress Tena Desae, who is gearing up for the release for her new film ‘Table No. 21′ says, not just script, it is important for her to understand the entire set-up of the film before signing on the dotted line.
“You can’t just base it on a script…the promotional activity of the film is equally important, so until I know the set-up is strong, I don’t want to do any film,” the actress told.
She admits smaller set-ups today have the best scripts.”The smaller set-ups have all the good scripts. But when you go to a big set-up, the character may not be as strong as you would want it to be. So I am looking for a character, which is strong and so is the set-up,” she said.At the end of the day, success of the film matters most, rather than individual actors, feels Tena.”I think it is more about success and failure. If you are a part of a successful film, no one says she is a bad actor. Everyone goes into a project hoping that the script is good and hopes that it transforms the same way on celluloid as well. But no one can predict how it will turn,” she said.
Desae made her Bollywood debut with ‘Yeh Faasley’, though the film failed to garner much acclaim at the box office. She was later roped in for a Hollywood project, ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’.
“‘Yeh Faasley’ was a good film on script but didn’t translate so well on screen…but that is something no one can predict. It is unfortunate, though I learnt so much from the film. That is something I will always be grateful for. ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ was a phenomenal success internationally. In India, few people watched it, but loved it,” she said.
With ‘Table No. 21′, which releases Jan 4 next year, Tena feels she will enter into the commercial zone.
“This is my first commercial film and it might bring the change and the popularity,” she said.
The film features Rajeev Khandelwal and veteran actor Paresh Rawal.”All of them perform so well with minimal preparation. If I had a high intensity scene, I used to sit in a room and wait, so that I don’t lose focus. They would do it so easily. But when you act with good actors, it makes your job easy as well. Your performance is lifted because of their good job,” she added.

Trey Songz Arrested for Assaulting Woman With Money

Trey Songz was arrested for throwing money at a woman, literally. The “Heart Attack” singer was accused of assaulting a woman when one of the dollar bills he threw in the air “struck the complainant’s left eye causing substantial pain to her left eye.”
Per TMZ, Songz was having an album release party at a gentleman’s club in Queens, New York City on August 21. He got involved in an altercation outside the club somewhere between 4:00 and 4:15 A.M. on the 22nd.
Police said, “Tremaine Neverson [Songz's real name] , did throw a sum of United States currency at the complainant and said sum of United States currency struck the complainant’s left eye causing substantial pain to her left eye.”
The cops did not arrest him that night but a month later for misdemeanor assault. He was ordered to attend a court session on November 1 in New York where an order of protection was issued. He is scheduled to attend the court again in February.
Songz is in the middle of promoting his fifth studio album “Chapter V”, which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, with first week sales of 135,000 copies.

Jacqueline Fernandez: Betrayal is a part of life

Many would believe that ‘Betrayal Is Survival’, the tag line of Jacqueline Fernandez’s ‘Race 2′, truly reflects the cut-throat competition and survival mantra in the Hindi film industry, but the Sri Lankan-born actress says hard work and honesty can do wonders.
“It is a very competitive industry. They say that if you want to survive here, you have to be cut-throat. But I don’t see a need for that. Sometimes I feel that hard work works. If you want to sleep well at night it is better if you just be an honest person,” Jacqueline told IANS in an interview.
Personally, she feels it is better to forgive and forget than hold a grudge against anyone.
“I think betrayal is a part and parcel of life and I think we all have experienced it. But I am someone who doesn’t believe in holding grudges. I am someone who forgives and forgets. I think it is important,” she said.
Born to a Sri Lankan father and Malaysian mother, Jacqueline was raised in Bahrain, and at the age of 14 was hosting a fitness show. She moved to Australia for her college studies, and then returned to Sri Lanka, where she took up a reporting job.
The year 2006 turned to be a game-changer for her as she entered the Miss Sri Lanka beauty pageant, and won the crown. That set the stage for the Miss Universe contest at Los Angeles for her. She didn’t make it to the finals, but her visibility drew in advise that she must try her luck in Bollywood.
It worked.
She made her debut in the Hindi film industry with 2009 film ‘Aladin’ opposite Riteish Deshmukh. Though it didn’t click at the box-office, the film landed her roles in ‘Housefull 2′, ‘Murder 2′ and now ‘Race 2′.
Creating a place for herself was not easy, says Jacqueline.
“It is a little bit difficult when you have come from outside. I feel that the industry embraces people who are from the industry faster and with wider arms. But once you have proved yourself, it is easier for them to accept you,” she said.
“I remember when ‘Aladin’ didn’t do well, I felt a little bit shunned, because it is so difficult to get a second chance specially if you are not from the group. You put in twice the effort and start again,” she added.
Even though the 27-year-old actress has managed to create an identity, she is still wary of making friends in the industry.
“I think at the end of the day, these are all people you have to work with. Sometimes it is difficult because you don’t want to cross that line between professionalism and friendship. Getting along with co-stars is important, but when it comes to having real friends I don’t go looking for them in the film industry,” she said.
With two successful films ‘Murder 2′ and ‘Housefull 2′ in her kitty, Jacqueline views the achievement as an add on responsibility.
“It (success) just gives you more responsibility. I guess it makes you work harder. It doesn’t change you as a person; it changes the surrounding and scenario and gives a lot more responsibility,” she said.
Directed by Abbas-Mustan, ‘Race 2′ also stars Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and Ameesha Patel. It releases Jan 25, 2013.

Sonam Kapoor’s clothes on auction for charity

Actress Sonam Kapoor, known for her stylish and uber cool dressing, announced Saturday that she will auction some of her clothes online for charity this Christmas.
She will auction her clothes on her friend, stylist Pernia Qureshi’s online fashion boutique, Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop.
The proceeds will go towards Smile Foundation, an NGO which works to support poor children.
“Pernia and I wanted to do something for children this season. So we thought it would be great if I give like 50 pieces from my wardrobe and the proceeds go to Smile Foundation,” Sonam. SRC: IANS
