Neetu Chandra is happy working in Tamil Film

Actress Neetu Chandra, known for her work in Hindi films such as ’13B’, ‘Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!’ and ‘Rann’, is satisfied with her work in Tamil Film.
“Tamil cinema has given me better opportunities and I am proud of it. All my three films in Tamil gave me immense satisfaction,’ tweeted Neetu.
Her Tamil films include horror thriller ‘Yavarum Nalam’, ‘Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai’ and ‘Yuddham Sei’.'Aadhi Bhagavan’ is her fourth Tamil film, which is currently in its post production stage.
Neetu calls genuine critics her biggest inspiration.
“I will always remember every genuine critic of mine. They are my biggest inspiration – Thanks,” she added.

‘Vishwaroopam’ releases in Bangalore, Hyd; Madras HC judge to watch film today

Kamal Haasan’s latest film ‘Vishwaroopam’ was screened in Bangalore and Hyderabad on Saturday, a day after its scheduled release date. The film ran into trouble after a few Muslim groups protested against the film’s content claiming that it hurt their sentiments.
The Madras High Court ordered a stay on its release after Kamal Haasan took the matter to court calling it cultural terrorism.
A judge of the HC will watch the film on Saturday and its verdict will be delivered on Monday.

‘Hamara Bajaj’ currently on hold: Yami Gautam

Yami Gautam, who became a household name after ‘Vicky Donor’, says her next film with Shootjit Sircar ‘Hamara Bajaj’ is on hold as they are busy with their respective assignments.
“Right now there are some other projects. Shoojit sir is shooting something else, I am shooting for something else,” she said.
Sircar launched Yami with ‘Vicky Donor’ opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. The film was co-produced by John Abraham who is also financing ‘Hamara Bajaj’.
“But whether it is ‘Hamara Bajaj’ or any other script, to work with Shoojit sir, John (Abraham), the same team will always be a privilege. I owe my success to them,” said the actress, who will team up with Ayushmann in ‘Hamara Bajaj’,
The 26-year-old was speaking at the special screening of ‘Race 2′ Thursday.
Meanwhile, talking about her film ‘Aman Ki Asha’, Yami said: “I am coming up with ‘Aman Ki Asha’ opposite Ali Zafar, it’s with Neeraj Pandey. It is going to be shot in London, it is a crazy kind of romantic-comedy.”
“Too early to talk too much about it but I am really looking forward to it, it is a really different kind of a script.”
Yami had done few films down south south and a Punjabi film before turning to Bollywood.

Padma Shri Award for Sridevi

Not been able to win anything at the recent award ceremonies for her outstanding acting in comeback movie ‘English Vinglish’ (2012), Sridevi will be delighted to learn that she is in line for a Padma Shri honour.
While this is still yet to be confirmed, reports say that Sridevi has been lined up for the award alongside Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore. NDTV reports, Khanna and Tagore, who starred together in movies like ‘Aradhana’ (1969) and Amar Prem (1971), will reportedly receive the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian award. Rajesh Khanna died in July last year and will receive the award posthumously.
Actress Sridevi will reportedly receive the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award.The official list of honours will be announced later today.

Kamal Hassan’s biggest-ever film Viswaroopam, which has been delayed for one or the other reason, has seen the light of day in foreign countries but not in Tamil Nadu and other Southern states as the High Court has stayed the release after several Muslim groups raised objection.
After a gap of three years, Kamal Hassan is back with Viswaroopam, which is written, directed and produced by himself. The film was supposed to be directed by Selvaraghavan but as the director walked out of the film due to other commitments, Kamal took the responsibility of directing the film. The film is simultaneously made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
Story:
The movie starts in America. Viswanath (Kamal Hassan), who will be seen as Kathak trainer, is surrounded by girls and one among them is Andrea Jeremiah. This makes Dr Nirupama (Pooja Kumar) to doubt on her hubby’s character and hires a detective, who gets killed by Al-Qaeda group. The Al-Qaeda is planning to plant a Nuclear Bomb in New York and Kamal Hassan is well-aware of it. How? He has a past where he has a connection with the terrorist group, which is headed by Omar (Rahul Bose).
Will the terrorist organisation succeed in their mission? What role does Kamal play? Is he a terrorist or an undercover agent? To know all these, you should watch the film. The story of the film begins on a slow note but it is gripping. The first half is entirely shot in the US, and keeps you engaged and generate a lot of curiosity. When it comes to second half, the narration is dragging at parts but gets interesting with Kamal Hassan’s past getting revealed
Performances :
The man, who has done countless experimental roles and called as the modern-day Stanislavsky of Tamil cinema, is brilliant. Be it in his avatar of Kathak dancer with feminine qualities, or in the role of a terrorist, he proves again why he is the best when it comes to acting. He looks terrific in the Jihadi warrior getup.Once again Kamal Hassan has delivered a realistic and a classy performance and it will be delight for the audience to watch an
actor like him on the big screen.
Pooja Kumar is a new find and she looks promising. She is sexy and adds glam quotient to the film.
Andrea Jeremiah has not got a big role and her role is not well described.
Shekhar Kapur did a decent job and Bollywood actor Rahul Bose is good as a baddie. His dubbing could have been much better. Jaideep Ahlawat, Nassar and Zarina Wahab have done their job.

Technical Aspects:
The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was engaging.  The dialogues were neat and sensible. Of all technical aspects, Sanu Varghese’s cinematography stands tall, as he has done a brilliant job.
He has wonderfully captured some of the rarest locales of Afghanistan. Shankar Ehsaan Loy’s two songs are good and background score is excellent. Especially, it is a treat to watch the Jet Fighter scenes on Auro 3D sound format. However, Mahesh Narayanan’s editing would have been better had he reduced the length of the film.
Analysis:
Firstly Kamal Hassan must be appreciated for his sincere effort, as always. The way he narrated the movie is completely brilliant and the technical aspect like cinematography and action sequences are well executed. Tittle song is good and it looked much effective at the time of first fight. Entire theater was filled with claps and whistles for this sequence, as everyone liked to see Kamal Hassan as an action hero rather a classical dancer.
Kamal Hassan tried to show some sensible elements especially in the Afghanistan episode. Scenes between Omar’s (Rahul) interaction with his family and his guilt after knowing that he has lost his family are touching. Vishwaroopam doesn’t have a huge star cast but every one has done their job well. It was good to see the famous director Shekar Kapur on big screen.
Viswaroopam might not go well with the masses but this film has been made with highly technical values and will remain as one of the better film of Legendary Actor Kamal Hassan.

Viswaroopam Movie Public Talk

Universal hero Kamal Haasan’s action entertainer ‘viswaroopam’ hit the screens on 25th January in AP. The movie has received mixed responses from the audiences at the end of its first shows throughout the state. As per the reports, the movie is enriched with rich production values with hollywood style of action sequences.
Kamal Haasan’s role has three shades such as a dance master of traditional Bharatha Naatyam, an Al-Queda terrorist and a secret agent of research and analysis wing of India. As usually, his performance is terrific. Especially, his stunning performance as a dance master just before the start of first action sequence was mind blowing.
Despite all that unwarranted controversies in Tamil Nadu, Vishwaroopam (Telugu) made it to the theatres in Andhra Pradesh. Since it is Id (Muslim festival), Hyderabad Police Commissioner issued orders that the film would not be screened in theatres in some areas of Hyderabad. From tomorrow the film will be screened in all parts of Hyderabad.
People who have watched the film are visibly happy and have given a thumbs up for Vishwaroopam. The spy thriller they say gives you a feel of Hollywood film.
However, on the flip side, the narration of the movie was quite slow. There were many boring moments in the first half of the movie. The climax of the movie was good while the pre climax sequences should have been shot well. On a whole, the movie has targeted multiplex audiences and perhaps, the movie can achieve its target.

She romanced him in her first movie ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ and then wooed him in ‘Jab Hai Jaan’. Anushka Sharma says that superstar Shah Rukh Khan is the most romantic actor, both on and off the screen.
“You really have to ask me that question? Obviously Shah Rukh Khan. On screen and off-screen, everywhere, it’s Shah Rukh Khan,” she told reporters when asked to name the most romantic hero.She was speaking at the unveiling of Geetanjali’s Valentine jewellery collection Thursday.

Karthika Nair to Act with Mammootty in Leela Movie

Malayalam actress Karthika Nair has bagged the lead role, opposite superstar Mammootty, in director Ranjith’s new film “Leela”.
Earlier, actress Ann Augustine was to play the female lead, but she had to opt out ahead of her engagement with cinematographer Jomon T. John.While Mammootty’s character is called Kuttiappan, Karthika will be seen as Leela.Veteran actor Nedumudi Venu will be seen as Pillechan in the movie.

Gundello Godari Movie Release Date Confirmed

Lakshmi Manchu, Tapsee Pannu, Aadhi Pinisetti and Sundeep Kishan’s film Gundello Godari is gearing up for a release on February 21 while the Tamil version will hit the screens on February 22.
The film which was shot in the village backdrop, canned in West and East Godavari districts has been under production from quite sometime and the film was supposed to hit the screens long back in December but finally Gundello Godari is hitting the theaters on February 21.
Gundello Godari is directed by Kumar Nagendra and produced by Manchu Lakshmi on Manchu Entertainments banner. Palani Kumar is cranking the camera for the film while Murali Krishna is the art director of the movie. Ilayaraja is the music director.
