He’s a techie from Telangana who moved through the Regional Engineering College in Warangal, IIT-Chennai and onwards to Infosys in India and abroad too. In 2010, the movie bug that bit him earlier in his life manifest itself in the form of Sneha Geetam, a film that attracted attention.
The year 2011 saw the release of his second film, It’s my Love Story and now, his third offering, Back Bench Student (BBS), is all set to hit the screens on March 15. That’s Kommula Sreedhar Reddy from Hanamkonda who is slowly but steadily making a name for himself in the highly competitive film industry. Soon after he started Madhura Audio, he became known simply as Madhura Sreedhar.
BBS is produced by M.V.K. Reddy on the Shirdi Sai Combines banner and presented by Multidimension Entertainments. The protagonist (Mahat Raghavendra) fails in at least 16 subjects in his course, and the story is about how this student’s life turns out to be. “Failure in exams is not failure in life” is the message.
Piaa Bajpai, a fresh face from Mumbai and Archana Kavi, an accomplished young actress from God’s own country essay the lead roles with the hero, also providing the glamour elements. Sunil Kashyap, who has been with Sreedhar all along, has scored the music and yes there are no double meaning dialogues or item numbers for the front-benchers. “Yes, there are a couple of fights but honest, there is no bloodshed,” he said.
BBS was canned in 55 days of shooting in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam with Prasad G.K. as the Director of Photography. Interestingly, it has ‘Jagada, Jagada ..’ a song sung by Tamil actor Silambarasan @ Simbu that’s a re-mix of that famous number from Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Geetanjali. And yes, Anirudh Ravichander of ‘Kolaveri’ fame has sung the title track.

Kochadaiyaan worldwide release on July in 4 languages

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiyaan has got a release date, so it seems finally. The makers are planning a worldwide release in July 2013 in all the languages – Tamil, Telugu, English and Hindi.
Details about the release of the movie were declared by the film’s co-producer Dr J. Murali Manohar. He said that July seems to be a feasible time. The post-production work would be finished by April. The makers of the movie have left the post-production decisions to Studio D and they have decided to edit the film to a playing-time of 2 hours and 5 minutes.
Few days back, Rajinikanth, Soundarya R Ashwin and director K.S. Ravikumar watched the edited version of the “Kochadaiyaan.” Rajini was thrilled on seeing the final outcome of the film. He was stunned by the special effects and the techniques used in the film.
Confirming the news, Soundarya posted a message on twitter saying, “One of THE most important days of my life. Kochadaiyaan locked Appa& ks Ravikumar uncle watched the entire movie and r thrilled!!! :):)”
Kochadaiyaan has been made using 3D motion capture technology, the first of its kind in India. The movie will show Rajinikanth in a completely new avatar. The Hollywood company, Stereo 3D, which did the 3D for the Hollywood film, The Avengers, had worked on the motion capture technique in 3D for Kochadaiyaan.
Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya, director of the movie will leave for China and London around March 15 to give final touches to the VFX of her film Kochadaiyaan.
The film has created a lot of expectation among Rajini fans worldwide, as this film is the comeback film post his illness. The superstar’s last outing “Endhiran” (Robot) was released in 2010 and it was one of the highest-grossing Indian films.
Dr. Manohar has further revealed that the film’s budget has crossed 100 crores.

‘Baadshah’ trailer release on the eve of Maha Sivarathri

The trailer of NTR and Sreenu Vytla’s ‘Baadshah’ will be released on the eve of Maha Sivarathri. Bandla Ganesh is producing the film under Parameswara Arts banner.
Bandla Ganesh says, ” We are releasing the trailer on the eve of Maha Sivarathri. NTR, Sreenu Vytla and I will go to Tirupathi and Simhachalalm and take the blessings of Lord Venkateswara and Simhadri Appanna on 17th March and will attend the audio function amidst the fans in Nanakramguda Ramanaidu studios. Weekend Box Office: ‘Oz – The Great And Powerful’ has a huge opening

“Oz: The Great and Powerful” took a major lead at the weekend box officeFriday as the film opened at 3,912 theaters. The James Franco-led “Oz” brought in $24.1 million, a total which THR reports puts the film on pace for a weekend gross in the range of $69 to $74 million, with some sources expecting totals to reach $80 million. “Oz,” which received a
CinemaScore of B+ from moviegoers, had a production budget of $215 million. The reboot of the classic “Wizard of Oz” tale also stars Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, and Rachel Weisz, and has reportedly already been given the go-ahead for a sequel.
“Oz: The Great and Powerful” blew away its competition on Friday, with the second place film, “Jack the Giant Slayer” making more than $20 million less than “Oz.” “Jack” made $2.5 million across 3,525 theaters on Friday, bringing its total domestic gross to $36.3 million since its release. “Jack” has had a disappointing box office run so far, as the film had a production budget of $195 million.
Also opening this week was “Dead Man Down,” a thriller starring Colin Farrell and Terrence Howard. The film had a rough opening, taking the number three spot on Friday with $1.8 million at 2,188 theaters. Comedies “Identity Thief” and “21 and Over” took the number four and five spots, respectively. “Identity Thief,” starring Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman, made $1.8 million across 3,002 theaters. The film has grossed $112 million to date. “21
and Over” brought in $1.6 million across 2,771 theaters on Friday, bringing its total domestic gross to a measly $13.4 million.

Vijay’s busy schedules for upcoming films

Ilayathalapathy is known to keep himself busy all the time. Currently, he is shooting the last schedule for ‘Thalaivaa’. The sets will wrap up the show by April, to gear up for a grand May/June release. The film has Vijay, Amala Paul and Ragini Nandwani in the lead roles. The film is directed by AL Vijay for Nirav Shah’s camera.
After this, Vijay will skip to his next project ‘Jilla’, which is likely to go on the floors from the 2nd of May. An official press meet is expected to be held on the March 11th. The film has Vijay, Mohanlal, Kajal and Mahat in key roles. The movie will be directed by Nesan, with Natraj of ‘Jab We Met’ (Hindi) cranking the camera, to be completed before December, for a Pongal surprise.
After these two successes, Vijay will work on his next with Murugadoss’s Ayngaran project, which is likely to kick start from late December or early January.

Sarah Jessica Parker Slams The Carrie Diaries: It’s Odd

Carrie Bradshaw was always quite candid when it came to her opinions, and her real-life alter ego, Sarah Jessica Parker, is no different.
In a recent interview with Net-A-Porter’s The Edit, the former Sex and the City star revealed that though she thinks up-and-coming starlet AnnaSophia Robb is “lovely,” she’s “not sure” about how she feels about The Carrie Diaries, the CW’s own prequel to the hit HBO series.
“You know, I think it’s one of those tests of your generosity,” she told the publication. “She [AnnaSophia Robb] is a lovely girl and I want her to feel good about it, but it’s … odd.”
Robb, 19, who plays a younger version of Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw character on the series, previously told Teen Vogue that a big part of the reason why she decided take the role was because she saw potential in the character.
“I realized it was actually a really strong story,” she said of getting involved with the series. “It had a lot of heart and integrity, and Carrie seems like a character that I can grow with.”
Parker may just have a few words of warning for Robb in terms of playing the iconic writer, however.
In The Edit interview, the 47-year-old actress also revealed that six years of literally running through the streets of New York in enviable heels has had another lasting effect on her.
“I went to a foot doctor and he said, ‘Your foot does things it shouldn’t be able to do. That bone there… You’ve created that bone. It doesn’t belong there,’” she told the magazine. “The moral of the story is, the chickens are coming home to roost. It’s sad, because my feet took me all over the world, but eventually they were like, ‘You know what, we are really tired, can you just stop — and don’t put cheap shoes on us?’”

Shah Rukh Khan never differentiates: Deepika Padukone

Actress Deepika Padukone, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om, says the superstar genuinely considers both genders equal.
Shah Rukh recently announced that henceforth all his films will feature the actress’ name first in the credits, and that has left Deepika even more impressed. She is currently working with him in Chennai Express.
“It’s a wonderful initiative taken to prove that men and women are equal in all fields and professions. The way he interacts with us during shooting clearly shows that he doesn’t differentiate. I’ve experienced that in ‘Om Shanti Om’ and now on Chennai Express. Thank you Shah,” Deepika said in a statement.

Murli Sharma signs Deepak Tijori’s film for just Rs 11!

During the times when actors’ fees are touching the sky, Murli Sharma has signed Deepak Tijori’s next film for just R 11. Apparently both Murli and Tijori go back a long way in knowing each other.
A source close to them says, “Both of them have been very close friends since years. Murli, who was a struggling actor a decade ago, sought help from Deepak who gave him the role of a eunuch in his telly show Rishtey. It helped establish Murli as an actor, post which he appeared as a lead on another programme titled Dial 100.”
According to sources, Murli who was once a Navi Mumbai resident often slept over at Tijori’s Oshiwara office post late night shoots.
The source adds, “Naturally, when Deepak called Murli for his film, the actor refused to take money from him and settled for a sum of R 11 only.”
An indebted Murli further states, “Deepak is like my brother and it was payback time. He has always been there for me when I had no project and even gave me significant work. He has been there for me in every possible way, so how can I even think of charging any money from him?”

RP Patnaik’s ‘Thulasidhalam’ is in its post production phase

RP Patnaik, who has earned his name as a music director, has proved himself as an actor with ‘Seenu Vaasanthi Lakshmi’ and as a director with ‘Broker’ and ‘Friends Book’.
The buzz however is that he is currently directing a horror movie based in Las Vegas now.
When asked more about the film the director confirmed, “Generally, horror movies are made mostly in darkness. But this movie will be very bright. Las Vegas is a very bright area compared to any other part in the world. So we have shooted the whole movie there. This is a very good love story and it takes a turning point due to a horrific problem. I am playing a Paranormal doctor in this movie and my character will be different compared to my previous films. The movie may be supposed to be made based on the ‘Thulasidhalam’ novel, watching the title. But the movie has no relation with that novel. But the movie contains an episode based on the murder of Sanvi in America. But the story doesn’t revolve completely on that. The movie contains 5 songs and I have composed the music. The post production work is going on and we are planning to release the movie in May”, he added.
Brahmanandham, Duvvasi Mohan, Anitha Chowdary, Deepak Ravella etc are the other cast.

Vinay to star in ‘Rasputin’

After the pivotal role of auto-rickshaw driver Suran in the recently released ‘Shutter’ which he perfected with his fine skills, Malayalam actor Vinay Fort will soon has a worthier followup. His new big movie will be ‘Rasputin’ ready to start the shoot this week. Directed by debutante Jinu G Daniel, Vinay Fort will have Sreenath Bhasi, and Ajuvarghese enjoying the lead roles.

Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Salaam-e-Ishq’ connection

It’s been a giant leap for Arjun Kapoor from being an assistant director to a full-fledged actor. Incidentally Arjun, who stars opposite Priyanka Chopra in his next, used to address the actress as Priyanka madam in Salaam-e-Ishq, where he was director Nikhil Advani’s AD.
A source from the sets says, “Priyanka was playing the lead in one of the stories in Salaam-e-Ishq. Arjun used to explain her scenes to PC and used to call her madam. And now he is her co-star. Arjun can’t believe he has been signed opposite her and has already started shooting for the film.”
Incidentally, the Chopra connection refuses to die down for Arjun as he made his big screen debut opposite PC’s cousin Parineeti Chopra.

Dhanush to act in comedy film

Kollywood actor Dhanush, who earned name and fame overnight with his super hit ‘Kolaveri Kolaveri’ song is all set to act in a comedy film very soon. His role in this film will be entirely different to his regular ones. The film is romantic comedy film, said the director Sadgunam.

“I have been married for 21 years and have beautiful children and like any normal family she keeps it all together. So, it’s absolutely wonderful. If I say anything more than this, then I feel that I talk a lot about my personal life and then people further discuss it in a wrong way and that hurts me because they are my family,” added the 47-year-old.
Shahrukh and Gauri have two children – son Aryan and daughter Suhana.

Vadodara court summons Mallika Sherawat on obscenity case

Bollywood Town controversy queen Mallika Sherawat, who holds a record of kissing most actors on celluloid, is soon going to face the heat of judiciary. She has been summoned by a Vadodara court which has asked her to appear before it on April 20.
Baroda Bar Association president Narendra Tiwari had filed a petition under section 294 against the actress and the owners of Marriot Hotels in Mumbai for indecent performance on New Year’s Eve.
Narendra Tiwari told reporters on Saturday that when a police investigation was sought, the police denied to probe the matter saying that there was no case filed in this connection. Tiwari then moved sessions court.
Sherawat, meanwhile, moved Gujarat High Court seeking quashing of the case, but the High Court rejected her petition and directed the Vadodara court to examine the matter again.
Following this the magistrate issued summons to the actor and the hotel owners, Tiwari added.

Chennai: Film actress Anjali of “Journey”  fame was electrocuted when she was in shooting at Tirupuru in Chennai on Saturday. Due to the Short circuit, she sufferd minor  injuries

Vijay’s Jilla Movie Release Date

Producer R.B.Chowdary is very confident about his next flick Jilla with Vijay. Debutant Nesan will direct this Tamil-Malayalam bilingual. Mohan Lal will play a prominent role and Kajal Agarwal will play the female lead.

Rajnikanth watched the edited copy of Kochadaiyaan along with K.S.Ravikumar and Soundarya at his home. Rajnikanth whole heartedly appreciated Kochadaiyaan team and as per reports Kochadaiyaan is likely to hit screens in June.
K.S.Ravikumar, who assisted Soundarya in directing this film has shared his views and said, “The film has come out really well. It is prone to be a crowd favourite. I am sure that everyone will watch it more than just one time.I and Rajini like the movie very much. Soundarya has done a fabulous job in direction. There is a lot of strain involved in post production, and the efforts are well paid.”
Kochadaiyaan is the first Indian movie which uses motion capture technology after Avatar. Deepika Padukone is pairing for the first time with Rajnikanth. A.R.Rahaman is composing the tunes and cinematography is handled by Rajiv Menon.

Yashraj films begin legal action on Jabardasth Movie

It is known to our readers that the makers of Jabardasth have almost freemade Bollywood super hit movie, Band Baaja Baarat with out any permissions. And now, Yashraj films have started legal proceedings on Bellamkonda Suresh, the producer of Jabardasth.
They have issued a paper ad regarding the same today. They even went on to include, Linguswamy of Tirupati Brothers Pvt Ltd., who own the Tamil dubbing rights of the movie.With this case, Bellamkonda will go in to further complications as the case will restrict the satellite rights and DVD rights from getting sold.

Dhanush’s Mariyaan release in May or June

Dhanush is now busy acting as well as producing the films. Recently he announced another from his production house Wunderbar Films under Selvaraghavan’s direction. Dhanush has announced the release date for his next flick Mariyaan, directed by Bharath Bala.

Bol Bachchan Remake to start from March 13

It is known that Victory Venkatesh and Energetic hero Ram are teaming up together for the Telugu remake of Bol Bachchan remake. Venky will be reprising the role of Ajay Devgn and Energetic young turk Ram will play the role of Abhishek Bachchan from the original. Interestingly, Bol Bachchan itself is an official remake of the popular 1979 film Gol Maal and is a run away hit. The movie will go on to sets from March 13th

Venkatesh’s brother Suresh Babu and Ram’s uncle Sravanthi Ravi Kishore will be jointly producing this film. K Vijay Bhaskar who directed movies like Nuvvu Naku Nachav and Jai chiranjeeva will yield megaphone for this film. More details on this project are awaited.

Acclaimed visual effects specialist Venki Sambamoorthy, who has worked in some landmark films like Shankar’s Indian and Jeans passed away yesterday, March 7th, unexpectedly. He suffered a heart attack at around 3 pm in Ooty. His body has been brought to Chennai and the last rites are expected to happen today.

Venki is a winner of National Award for Best Special Visual Effects – four timemes in a row. He has been winner of and nominee to almost all the Awards outside the National award in the country several times over. He has been engaged in over a 100 productions – big and small in many languages in a career spanning 20 years.

Ashley Benson covers Seventeen, Talks Spring Breakers and Jelena Drama

With blue highlights in her hair and star-spangled shorts, Ashley Benson is rocking a patriotic outfit in the April issue of Seventeen magazine. In her cover interview, the “Pretty Little Liars” actress dishes on where she ultimately wants to take her career, her involvement in some Jelena drama and what it was like filming her racy new movie, “Spring Breakers.”

“I haven’t heard from Selena! People thought that I was being mean, but I was just doing what the girl did in the video. It wasn’t a jab at her,” she explained in reference to her parody video that poked fun at Selena Gomez and her then-boyfriend Justin Bieber. “But I heard from Justin. He wasn’t happy. Justin is like my little brother since he and my ex are so close. Anytime you go through a breakup, the friends get defensive. But all is well in that area now.”

When it came to filming “Spring Breakers” (out in theaters on March 22), Ashley explained what drew her and castmates Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens to the R-rated film — a big change from the family-friendly projects the actresses are known for.

“We all came from a Disney background, and this was different from anything we’ve done,” she told Seventeen. “But we wanted to prove that we’re not just girls who play happy parts. It was such a crazy experience and it was character-building.”

Ashley also shared her celeb role models and ultimate career goal.

“I love Michelle Williams and Natalie Portman — those are the careers I want. My goal is to win an Oscar, and I’m going to take the steps to get there,” she said.

Chrissy Teigen’s nude photo violates instagram rules

We’ve already expressed our undying love for Chrissy Teigen’s Twitter account, which is filled with hilarious musings on life, love notes to alcohol and dirty jokes. But allow us to praise the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model once more for her achievements on another social media account: Instagram.

Teigen drew plenty of eyeballs to her Instagram on Thursday night by posting a fully nude photo of herself, taken while she was receiving what appears to be a spray tan.

She posted the photo well aware of Instagram’s nudity ban. But hey, what else is a girl gonna do to celebrate reaching 200,000 Twitter followers?

Santhanam to romance Harbhajan Singh’s girl friend

After opting for a north Indian actress, Vishakha Singh, in his Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya, Santhanam is likely to rope in a Bollywood actress again for his Maryada Ramanna remake.

We hear that talks are on with UKborn actress Geeta Basra, who is said to be currently dating cricketer Harbhajan Singh, for the lead role.

“Yes, I have been offered the Son Of Sardaar (the Hindi version of Maryada Ramanna) remake. Talks are in the final stages but I’m most likely to do it,” says Geeta to us. This will be the first time the actress will be working in the south. “I have worked with Rajiv Menon for a jewellery ad but I haven’t done much in the south so far,” she says and adds that she has been getting some offers to do Telugu films as well.

Though she isn’t familiar with Santhanam’s work, she says she has heard about him. “I have been told that he is a top star here and has a great sense of humour,” she says. While the film’s director, Srinath, informed us that he was not aware of the development, an industry insider revealed that Geeta’s casting will be finalized only after the comedian meets her. “Santhanam was supposed to meet Geeta when she was recently in Chennai but couldn’t meet her. Now, she has gone to London. So, everything will be decided once Santhanam meets her,” the source reveals.

Robert Pattinson bans Kristen Stewart from visiting him

Things have been rough between the couple ever since Stewart was caught cheating on Pattinson with director Rupert Sanders in July last year.

Pattinson, 26, is filming “The Rover” and does not wish to meet Stewart, who is trying hard to revive their relationship, reports dailymail.co.uk.

“Rob doesn’t want her to visit. He felt like they needed space. He wants a break,” In Touch magazine quoted a source as saying.

Stewart is trying to stay in touch with him constantly but her efforts seem to be going in vain.

“She was calling and texting him constantly – if he didn’t respond she would go off the handle. So he just stopped responding,” the source said.

The couple has been together from past four year after they met on set of movie “Twilight”.

Aamir Khan to join Katrina Kaif in Switzerland shoot

The shooting of the third instalment of Yash Raj Films’ successful franchise, Dhoom, seems to have kicked off again as female lead Katrina Kaif flew to Switzerland on Thursday, to join the crew. Aamir Khan, who was shooting for Rajkumar Hirani’s P.K. in Rajasthan, will be joining her in Switzerland soon.

“Katrina will have a considerably long schedule there which would complete some of the intricate sequences of the film,” reveals a source close to the actor. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra are also expected to be in the scenic country to shoot their parts. The climax of the film was supposed to be shot in Rajasthan, but now the new location seems to be the Swiss Alps.

“The team will finish shooting the climax of the film in this schedule,” says the source. Vijay Krishna Acharya, who had written the previous instalments of the franchise, has written this part as well. He is also making his directorial debut with Dhoom:3.

The source further reveals that once Katrina finishes this schedule of Dhoom:3, she will start shooting for director Siddharth Anand’s Bang Bang with Hrithik Roshan, which is a Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood film Knight And Day (2010), which starred Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. “The film will be shot in Kashmir and Katrina will fly there directly from Switzerland to start shooting with Hrithik,” adds the source.

Justin Bieber Lunges at Paparazzi, Gets Restrained by His Own Bodyguard

Is Justin Bieber unraveling before our eyes?

Just hours after he passed out backstage at his London concert and was rushed to hospital, the teenage pop star almost got violent with the paparazzi. Photos show the 19-year-old lunging at photographers, and he evidently had to be restrained by his own bodyguard.

The pop star almost immediately realized this was not his best move and turned to Twitter to do some preemptive damage control. In a series of tweets he wrote:

Ahhhhh! Rough morning. Trying to feel better for this show tonight but let the paps get the best of me…Sometimes when people r shoving cameras in your face all day and yelling the worst thing possible at u…well I’m human. Rough week. Not gonna let them get the best of me again. Gonna get focused on this show tonight. Adrenaline is high now. Gonna put it on the stage. Only way someone can break u is if u let them.

Rough week, indeed. Ever since Bieber trekked across the pond it’s been nothing but problems. First Bieber turned 19 and proclaimed he had the “worst birthday.” Then he was told to put his “f**king shirt on” by Olivia Wilde, and angered fans when he showed up late at a London gig. Then on Wednesday, he had a mini-meltdown on Twitter, slamming “fake stories” that are used to sell papers.

Just prior to the singer’s collapse on Thursday, came reports that Bieber had been warned by his record label to cut back on the partying:

“After an emergency meeting in the U.S., Justin’s people had him on Skype to bosses and he was given a serious talking-to,” a source told the U.K. paper the Mirror. “It was suggested he start staying in more and basically cleaning up his act. He’s kicking off the European leg of his tour next week and has been told to stay in more when he’s not performing. Justin took the news well and has promised to go back to putting his fans first.”

With Bieber displaying such uncharacteristic behavior, some are worried that he’s quickly spiraling out of control.
