Gautham Menon confirms his next with Surya

Gautham Menon has finally opened up on his next project after his Neethane En Ponvasantham (NEP). The filmmaker at the audio launch function of Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu, the Telugu version of NEP, confirmed that he would be joining hands with the Ghajini star. The filmmaker said that he will be directing Surya in an action flick.
The project is not an usual film and he is excited to work with the actor again. However, he did not give further details about the proposed film, which is expected to take off in March 2013. Earlier, there were reports that claimed that Gautham Menon would be directing Surya in his much-delayed Thuppariyum Anandhan.
But later sources close to the director said that the film was shelved and the duo would be joining hands for a fresh project, which will be an action-romantic film. However, Gautham Menon and Surya had earlier worked with Surya in two superhit films – Kaakha Kaakha and Vaaranam Aayiram. Meanwhile, Surya is busy with Singam 2, and Gautham in Neethane En Ponvasantham, which is releasing tomorrow (December 14).
