Finally, Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ) seems to be at rest. The Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma starrer has fetched negligible numbers at the Indian Box Office in the fourth week. The business of this romance drama has been affected by Aamir Khan’s Talaash and Akshay Kumar’s new release Khiladi 786.
Late Yash Chopra’s last directorial venture Jab Tak Hai Jaan opened to good response and collected Rs 98.41 crores at the domestic Box Office in the first week. Its business went down by 75% with its second week collection reaching Rs 19.42 crore. With the release of Talaash, its collection further dropped and it raked in Rs 3.02 crores taking its three weeks domestic total to Rs 120.85 crores nett. Jab Tak Hai Jaan, which had to give away many screens to Talaash in the third week, lost out a large number of screens to Khiladi 786 in the fourth week.
This was the big setback for the movie, which collected Rs 42 lakhs at the domestic Box Office in the fourth week. Its 31-day Indian collection stands at Rs 121.27 crores nett. However, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, which has been announced as blockbuster overseas, has collected approximately Rs 72 crores at the international Box Office in four weeks. With this, its worldwide total stands at Rs 193.27 crores nett. Trade experts feel that since its business has completely stopped, the movie will not be able to cross Rs 200 crore mark.
