Nayak Beats Mahesh Babu’s SVSC

Pongal season always has a special place for Tollywood makers as it will see the releases of highly anticipated movies! This pongal too has already grabbed the attention as two biggies Mega Powerstar Ram Charan’s ‘Nayak’ and Victory Venkatesh, Superstar Mahesh Babu’s ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’(SVSC) are locking horns at box office.
Trade pundits estimate that ‘Nayak’ will surpass ‘SVSC’ first day collections by a margin as the former is going to have as much as 15 benefit shows in Hyderabad. The number may even go up as the release date gets closer. They also predict that ‘Nayak’ – releasing on Jan 9 has the advantage to draw huge openings over ‘SVSC’ which is releasing on Jan 11 during holidays. But, one shouldn’t under estimate Mahesh Babu who is capable of drawing huge openings irrespective of the fate of the film.
