A while ago, Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar announced that they are coming together to make an entertaining film.
Although the co-producers revealed that their film will be a commercial affair with underlying social message, they refused to divulge any further details regarding the project.
However, if the rumors are to be believed, the film may get titled as ‘Gutka’. The title was apparently registered with Madhur Bhandarkar, but a call from Karan was enough to convince the national award winning director to give away his title.
The film’s script is written by ‘I Hate Love Storys’ director Punit Malhotra and he is also captaining the ship.
Interestingly, there also reports doing around of Emraan Hashmi playing a parallel lead to Akshay Kumar in the film.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is extremely busy this year with films like ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2’, ‘Boss’, ‘Thuppakki’ remake and ‘Ramana’ remake. He will start working on the Punit Malhotra film only by the early next year.
