For the first time in several years home minister P Sabita Indra
Reddy stepped into MIM’s bastion , held a meeting with residents and
welfare associations of Rajendranagar constituency in a move to corner
MIM party.
Discussions were held on issues pertaining to drinking water supply, condition of roads, bore-wells drying and functioning of storm water drains during the monsoons. Minister sanctioned Rs 314 crore works were in the constituency for laying sewerage pipes. Works to the tune of Rs 200 crore have been completed but bills worth only Rs 100 cr were cleared.
Political observers believe, its a brave move of Congress one year before election to woo minorities and gain their confidence.
