We’ve already brought you some choice Kanye West quotes from his rant
at a London concert on Saturday, but there’s one we missed. The rapper
sized up one of his biggest and, certainly, most famous critics by
saying that he doesn’t really care what “the president” thought of him.
“I don’t give a f–k what the president’s got to say,” the rapper intoned in a freestyle-like screed that also included digs at Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, the Grammys and “business people.”
Barack Obama has twice called West a “jackass,” mostly in reference to West’s 2009 interruption of Taylor Swift at the VMAs.
“I’ve got love for Hov but I ain’t f–king with that ‘Suit & Tie,’” West also said, dinging Timberlake’s comeback single which features Jay-Z. Jay-Z and West are longtime collaborators and close friends, so it’s a bit surprising to see the former in the latter’s crosshairs. Some have said West meant for “suit and tie” to be taken as a metaphor for corporations and corporate mentalities, but he had to have known how it would be taken.
West also appeared to end his set in a fit of screams (see below), wrapping “Touch the Sky” and sending his microphone skidding into the audience. Surprised gasps can be heard in the fan-made video below.
