The makers of
'Chashme Baddoor' are leaving no stone unturned to maximise their reach
and have come up with a novel idea to promote the film -- to cash in on
the exam fever! Director David Dhawan, along with the lead cast - Siddharth, Divyendu and TapaseePannu — visited Juhu'sMithibai college recently, to wish the students good luck for their forthcoming exams.
The makers of the film have also published an all-the-best ad in various leading dailies. Further, an online app has been launched where the users can wish their loved ones for exams. There are also plans to tie up with a radio channel where the audience can wish their friends and family across the country.
To target those in the age group of 15 to 25, an SMS wishing them good luck will also be sent across all the major cities in the country. "The exam fever is on and it was sensitive on the part of the makers to come up with this strategy. It made the students feel good and encouraged them during this time of pressure and hard work," said a source.
Vikram Malhotra, COO, Viacom18 Motion Pictures said, "Chashme Baddoor is a fun, tongue-in-cheek celebration of friendship. It's the quintessential youth film that will find a strong connect with the young and young-at-heart and what better time to engage with the film's audience than during school and college exams — a period when all friends get together and become each other's support system as well as stress-busters! Our 'Good Luck' campaign sees the cast reaching out to millions of students, wishing them 'all the best' and reassuring them to hang in there as Chashme Baddoor awaits them on the other side of their exams."
