T-series buys the music rights of Salman Khan’s Mental and Kick

Not just his films, but the music of Salman Khan‘s films have also been very popular with at least couple of songs of his every film topping the charts. Naturally, music companies want to outdo each other when it comes to possessing the music rights of Salman’s films.
And the latest winner of this competition is Bhushan Kumar of T-series who has succeeded in acquiring the music rights of not just one but two of Salman’s upcoming films. Apparently, the company has bought the rights of Sohail Khan’s ‘Mental’ and Sajid Khan’s ‘Kick’.
Confirming the reports, Bhushan says, “We have got the music rights of Salmanbhai’s home production ‘Mental’ and Sajid Nadiadwala’s next ‘Kick’. Right from ‘Tere Naam’, we have believed in getting all the music rights of his projects.”
Certainly, buying the music right of a Salman starrer doesn’t come cheap and Bhushan had to pay a hefty amount. Although Bhuashan hasn’t divulged any details, he admits that he and Salman have shared a great relationship over the years and he pays an amount which keeps both of them happy.
“He tells me he is expecting an ‘x’ amount and then leaves it to us. I always make sure that both of us are happy with the deal. Our friendship spans many years,” asserts he.
Meanwhile, Salman has already started shooting for ‘Mental’ in Dubai. After finishing it, he will start working on ‘Kick’.
