Varun Dhawan wowed everyone with his performance in his debut film
‘Student of The Year’ (SOTY) and the young actor has now bagged an Ekta
Kapoor project to be made under her Balaji banner.
Youngest son of successful director David Dhawan, the actor said: “In 2013, I am doing a film with Balaji, which my father (David) is directing. I can’t talk much about it but preparations have begun.”
The 24-year-old was speaking Wednesday on the sidelines of the Lions Gold awards.
“After that, I have a few films but I can’t say anything. The producers will announce it,” added Varun who was named best male debut here.
His SOTY co-star Alia Bhatt, who was named the best female debut at the same event, was also present there and she says that she plans “to do more and more films and do good roles with good directors and new as well”.
“Everyone dreams of becoming the biggest and the best and I also have the same dream,” added Alia, daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan.
