Mahesh Babu has proven once again that he is the biggest star in
Tollywood, at least as far as overseas collections goes. His latest
release, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu has been enjoying
unprecedented collections world wide. The film has reportedly grossed
over Rs 8 crore in collections just in the US.
The movie is tipped to break the all time record held by Dookudu. It just goes to show that Mahesh Babu is the darling of Telugu lovers living abroad.Pawan Kalyan is the only other star in Tollywood who comes close to matching Mahesh Babu’s popularity both locally and internationally. He proved that with the success of Gabbar Singh.
Perhaps that’s why trade pundits predict that if any star can come close to breaking Mahesh Mania abroad it has to be the Power Star. We will have to wait and see for that. But for now though it is Mahesh Babu who is the clear leader.
