Justin Bieber’s Mom On Grammy Snub: ‘I Think They Blew It’

Justin Bieber Mom Justin Biebers Mom On Grammy Snub: I Think They Blew ItJustin Bieber’s mom thinks members of the Recording Academy “blew it” when they failed to nominate her son for a Grammy.
“I think they blew it,” Bieber’s mother, Pattie Mallette, told Alexa Chung while sitting down for an interview with FuseTV. “It’s my boy, I’m a little biased. I just heard that he’s had now five No. 1 albums, so I think his music is speaking for itself.”
She said he was disappointed, but “I think it’s kind of good in a way. It gives him something to strive for and a goal to go for.”
Bieber’s new album, “Believe Acoustic,” landed at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 200. This was the 18-year-old’s fifth chart-topping work. He is credited as both a writer and a producer on every track.
Bieber himself opened up about the Grammy snub in a Q&A with Billboard’s Bill Werde, saying, “My whole life I’ve dreamed of winning a Grammy. At this point, the excitement of that has gone down. I’m more excited to just make great music for my fans. That’s just something that if it happens, it happens.”
Up next for Bieber is his Feb. 9 “Saturday Night Live” gig. The singer, who has been helping to write some of the skits, will be hosting the show for the first time. Mallette told NBC’s “Today” that they are both “nervous.”
