Sudeep and Chiranjeevi starrer Varadanayaka is finally ready to hit
the screens on January 25. The film will be releasing in over 120
screens this Friday for which the advance ticket booking will start from
tomorrow (January 24). Sources say that despite facing shortage of
theatres due to other language releases, the screen count for
Varadanayaka has crossed 100 mark and the makers of the film are
expecting to add 20 more screens.
It is also said that the makers of the film are not planning to release in more number of theatres, as they wish to see a long-run of the film than trying to cash earn quick bucks by having a wide release.
The pre-talk of the movie is good and it is expected to do well, as Sudeep’s first Kannada release since 2011. Adding to that the three-day weekend – Friday (Ed Milad), Saturday (Republic Day) and Sunday – would help the film to make good business in the opening weekend. However, the advance ticket booking for Varadanayaka will start tomorrow in multiplexes.
Varadanayaka is the remake of Telugu movie Lakshyam, which starred Gopichand, Anushka Shetty and Jagapati Babu. The forthcoming film, which also features Sameera Reddy and Nikeesha Patel, is directed by Ayyappa P Sharma and produced by Shankare Gowda.
